Rosneft and the Government of Stavropol Krai signed a memorandum on the development of motor tourism in the region. The document provides for the implementation of joint projects aimed at stimulating the demand for domestic motor tourism, promoting the tourism potential of Stavropol Krai, developing the fuel infrastructure and roadside service facilities of Rosneft's network of filling stations.
Rosneft is committed to the development of automobile tourism in Russia and aims to create comfortable conditions for car travellers. One of Rosneft's key objectives is to enhance the quality of its roadside assistance and customer service at its filling stations.
According to the arrangements, it is envisaged to develop and construct main tourist routes passing through the landmark points of Stavropol Krai on a special information and service platform "Horizons of Russia". The project will allow car tourists to choose and plan routes to interesting places in the region using the infrastructure of roadside services and Rosneft filling stations.
According to experts of the Ministry of Tourism of Stavropol Krai, the implementation of the project could attract up to 500,000 additional tourists a year to the region. This refers to car travelers and those who choose weekend tours.
Vladimir Vladimirov, Governor of Stavropol Krai, emphasized that the region has been rapidly gaining momentum in recent years as one of the popular domestic tourism destinations. He noted that Stavropol has points of attraction for tourists. There are interesting locations and sites, for example, in the Budennovsky, Andropovsky, Kochubeyevsky and Novoalexandrovsky districts.
The tourist route for "Horizons of Russia" will comprise more than 30 sites, including Koltso Mountain, Narzannaya Gallery, Temple of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Essentuki, State Museum-Reserve of M. Yu. Lermontov, and many others.
Rosneft launched a special information and service platform, "Horizons of Russia: Come along!" in 2023. The Horizons of Russia project has a distinctive feature: thanks to the unique navigation functionality, all points of interest become stops on the route, which the driver can built and modify at any time during the journey. Several regions of the country, including Moscow, Moscow Oblast, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Tula, Ulyanovsk and Arkhangelsk Oblast, have previously joined the “Horizons of Russia” project
