Rosneft held a series of Energy of Life corporate runs in Moscow, Tyumen and Samara. The competition was attended by over 1200 of the Company’s employees and their family members.
Adults competed in three distances — 2.5km, 5km and 10km. For children, 500m of tracks have been prepared. According to the results of the races in the different age categories, 333 prize winners were awarded according to the GTO standards.
The winners of the race in Moscow were awarded by the Russian sambo wrestler Nikita Kletskov, winner of the Russian Sambo Cup and the World Sambo Super Cup, while the best runners in Tyumen were awarded by the bronze medallist of the Russian Sambo Championship Daniil Fakhtulin. In Samara, the ceremony was opened by Elena Pavlova, the winner of the Energy of Talents corporate creative competition.
The athletics events attracted a large number of fans to support the oilmen athletes. There were field kitchens at the sports festival and an entertainment area with animators for the youngest participants.
One of the key areas of Rosneft’s social work is support for popular and professional sports and healthy lifestyles. In the regions of operations, the Company builds multifunctional sports complexes and playgrounds, ice arenas and organises mass sports events in various disciplines for children and adults.
As part of the Energy of Life programme, the Company is carrying out extensive information and organisational work to develop a mass sports movement among its employees. More than 106,000 employees take part in the Company’s sports and leisure activities. More than 54,000 people take part in a variety of sports competitions, including company-wide competitions and challenges, as well as regional and national competitions. Sports training is organised for employees.
